Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for a mechanical engineer to join the team at our head office in Bellville, Cape Town. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, manufacture and bringing to market of irrigation systems, implements and a variety of products for the agricultural sector in southern Africa.
Job requirements
Beneficial qualifications, knowledge and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Fluent in both Afrikaans and English
- Willing and able to spend time on the factory floor and field to build and test prototypes, get designs into production and implement systems.
- Good people skills to engage directly with customers and technicians
- Experience in mechanical design and manufacturing of products
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor / Fusion / Vault / AutoCAD
- Experience with CAM and/or manual CNC programming
- Experience in project management
- Experience working with sheet metal and steel
- A passion for the agricultural industry
Duties and market related salary dependent on candidate qualifications and experience.
