Job description
Agrico has a job vacancy for an irrigation technician at our Bethlehem branch.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Installation of VSDs, Star Delta Starter and other switchgear, as well as troubleshooting on existing installations
- Wiring and construction of new centre pivots as well as troubleshooting on existing pivots
- Providing technical support to clients using Agrico Web Control, our remote control irrigation software
- Assembly, installation and troubleshooting of hydraulic valves
- Project management
Job requirements
The following will serve as recommendation:
- Code 08 driver’s licence with own transport
- Grade 12 compulsory
- Proficient in Afrikaans and English
- Honest, diligent and earnest
- Willing to work overtime or flexible hours
- Good communication skills – telephone and email
- Relevant electrical, millwright and / or fit and turn qualifications
- Experience in pump installation
- Experience in centre pivot wiring
